About Our Meat CSA
CSA, which stands for Community Supported Agriculture, is a membership and subscription program in which our customers receive a portion of meat cuts at a sizable discount. CSA members play a vital role in directly supporting our small farm, helping us to continue our holistic farming methods.
Our meat CSA is available year-round, and is fully comprised from animals raised on our farm. Meat cuts will vary based on what is seasonal and surplus at the farm. We work really hard so that our CSA includes a range of cuts; from premium cuts (like chops, loins, and steaks) to more humble, braising, or ground cuts (like osso buco or stew meats). Occasional offerings of rustic sausages and organically smoked & cured bacon will also be included, all free of nitrates and featuring certified-organic spices.
Most of our CSA members choose to pick-up at a local farmer's market, however weekly or monthly home delivery in the Chicago area is also available for a small fee.
Other CSA member benefits include: 5% off all additional purchases with the farm, 25% off whole holiday turkeys, and discounted tickets to our farm dinners and tours!
Consider signing up for a weekly or monthly CSA today, and continue to "vote with your fork" in support of the humane treatment of animals, native prairie pasture restoration, biodiversity and the fertility of our landscape, and of course, nutrient-dense & delicious proteins!
To sign up for a meat CSA, begin by choosing how often you'd like to receive your share, either weekly or monthly.

Chicago Patchwork Farms
We will be partnering with our friends at Chicago Patchwork Farms to offer a Wednesday delivery of eggs, meat, and produce all together, May-October. Patchwork is a hand-tended, organic operation specializing in nutrient-dense heirloom varieties. They support equal access to healthy food in their neighborhood while remediating city soil and providing habitat for native plants, migratory birds and pollinators.
Patchwork shares adequately serve individuals and couples who eat lots of vegetables, 4-person households of busy adults, as well as 4-person families. A typical spring bag will include: a bag of salad; a bunch of root vegetables; a bunch of cooking greens, sprouting broccoli or cabbage; herbs or onions; and something exciting. A typical summer bag will include a similar collection as a spring share plus tomatoes as well as peppers, cucumbers, summer squash, sweet corn, eggplants, and/or okra. As the summer cools off, you will also receive garlic, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and winter squash.
